My simple answer: COLOR
I enjoy making people question, enjoy, think and explore through art.
I recently took on a new art student. A 5 year old girl with a few challenges of her own... She's a bright little girl, with sparkling eyes... a "girl" version of one of my nephews (another breath of fresh air)...
My first lesson with my student was simply watching her build with colorful foam building blocks. Watching her face as she recognized shapes, created stories, and told descriptive imaginative tales about the structure was fascinating. Step two was having her use chalk pastels and translate what she saw...
She experienced a new medium and got to create a beautiful colorful page of art...
