Art should tell a story!!!

When you purchase art, why is it?

To fill an empty space on a wall?  To remind you of a special place, moment, time?
Does it evoke emotions, memories, or take you back to somewhere with someone special?
Is it a family heirloom?  Or a piece of fabric that your granny gave you?

When you ask me to create art, for you... I take all the above into consideration and that's just the starting point.  Maybe you love the likeness of _________ but want to add your own personal touch?

The Mermaid's Treasure Trove, began as a sketch of 2 year old Fiona (Now 7), chalked out onto the driveway and her asking me to make her into a mermaid...  I then began to imagine this mermaid representing "Anyone's Daughter"...  And the Mermaid became what she is... a mixed media, mosaic, acrylic, paper and glass ensemble!  Driftwood Frame from Recycled Wood!

"Le chat dans la fenêtre en Provence" - inspired by the many walks through French Villages while John and I were on our Honeymoon.  Many brick buildings, geraniums and blooming gardents, and many cats inside and outside as we walked past.

The Harvest Owl.... Sometimes you just find something you enjoy drawing, painting and reproducing.  I've probably painted 3 dozen owls and I'm just getting warmed up!  I love them!

Children's Stories....  Happy Critters... Bright Colors... What was your favorite song or story as a child...?

"The Amusement" - boys on the scrambler at Pacific Park
Acrylic on Canvas...  this started off as a study in shape and line and expressive emotion.

So, when you purchase art, when you fill a space, let it be something meaningful...
I offer full service interior design and space planning, furniture selection, layout, and complimentary art and accessory consultation with the purchase of any custom canvas.
Your own furnishings and accessories are just as important as any new pieces... so let's see what you already have and see how to incorporate what you love, and what you didn't know you had!!!!  Let's make it all special!  We will bring family photos out of the albums and put them in frames, creating a gallery of life to balance with objects d'art!  Create collections and develop cohesive themes.
