Something Special, Something New, Something for the Kids to Do!!!!

If you are like many of us, receiving invitations to weddings, parties, and family reunions, there's a lot of stress for the party planners, the invitees, and of course, the guests.  And for those with the little guests the question is, what do we do with the kids?  Obviously there's some etiquette involved in deciding if children should or not be included in the festivities however, for those with families travelling and children as part of the equation, there are some creative solutions that can be presented... that would be suitable for many.

So, for many this would be during a ceremony or special presentation how do you keep the little one's quiet without the parents missing out on a lovely moment.  Besides hiring a nanny and having the kids off doing an activity or elsewhere, what are some options?

Create a Craft and Color Table.  This can be as simple as rolling out some white butcher paper and having a box of crayons for the kids to enjoy.  You'll get kids and adults of all ages engaging in the simple activity of drawing and coloring.

On the same idea, you could expand and have an "Art Kit" or "Art Center" set up for children to play at.  The suggestion of how messy or not depends on the location and type of event.  A park setting is easier for glitter, a fancy restaurant better for stickers and less mess.

So what is the best solution for your upcoming special event?  Tell me about your event, the theme, the location, the age groups, and perhaps there is a suitable art project and craft center that would serve your needs, your guests, and create a lasting impression for your event that will leave your guests happy and excited to be included!
